One of the new features that has been released for general availability in December 2019 was Additional Location Zone. This feature adds three additional zone fields. This means that you can now assign three additional zones to a location.
You can set these zones up manually in the locations screen, but these additional zones are supported in the location setup wizard if you’re setting up locations you can use the wizard to setup the locations and add the additional zones.
Once they are assigned to the location one of the ways you can make use of them is in the queries in the location directive fields. When you are setting up your location directive queries you can specify them.
These would be used if you wanted to further subdivide your zones. For example, if you have a frozen foods zone and you wanted to divide that down to the different types of frozen foods. You might have Frozen Vegetables, Frozen Pizzas and Ice Creams as possible subdivisions.
By doing it this way you can make sure that all frozen foods are picked at the same time through a wave template, but also allow the work to be broken up by type of Frozen food.
