If you are using zones in your dynamics 365 advanced warehouse setup and only using them in the picking process you are doing it wrong.

A way to make your warehouse more efficient is to also use zones in the Dynamics 365 Advanced warehouse put away processes. When your picking locations are full and the items need to go to a bulk area allows the system to put the items in the same zone as your picking locations.

This makes a more efficient process when replenishing your picking locations as you have your items that are in bulk close to the picking locations.
